50 Cent, the rap business mogul and the force behind the G-Unit empire, has once again proved his mettle in the entertainment industry. His highly anticipated docuseries, Diddy Do It?, has been snapped up by Netflix following an epic bidding war, underscoring the compelling nature of the controversial subject matter.
The documentary series puts the spotlight on the multitude of sexual assault, rape, abuse and human trafficking allegations that have been levelled against the founder of Bad Boy Records. The news of the Netflix deal, reported by TMZ on Tuesday (May 21), is being seen as a major victory for 50 Cent, whose winning wit and robust business acumen continue to serve him well in and beyond his musical career.
Previously, TMZ had released its own documentary titled The Downfall of Diddy, which focused on those who were present during the incidents referred to in the various lawsuits. Upon learning about the successful outcome of the bidding war, 50 Cent couldn’t help but tease TMZ and Diddy. “TMZ use this fat boy picture of me because their doc went to Tubi LOL it’s ok guys we’re all making great television mines just happens to be the best! NETFLIX wins the bidding war, but if more victims keep coming out I’m gonna need more episodes,” he posted. The outlet promptly changed the picture’s thumbnail to a more flattering one of the rap star.

Unfortunately, the news of Diddy Do It?’s move to Netflix is also accompanied by reports of another lawsuit lodged against Puffy. The plaintiff, former model Crystal McKinney, accuses the mogul of allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting her around two decades ago. The incident reportedly took place at a fashion event in New York City in 2003.
While the controversies surrounding Diddy are nothing short of serious, 50 Cent’s upcoming docuseries promises to vividly portray and explore these issues in an engaging and thought-provoking manner. As it finds its home on a platform as globally influential as Netflix, the world is set to watch this turbulent narrative unfold.
